our story

sisters kaitlyn and Kimi did not study pastry in the South of France. they did not apprentice alongside MasterChefs, take classes at Le Cordon Bleu, nor do they hail from Johnson & Wales. their humble beginnings simply started in their tiny kitchen during the lockdown of 2020. With ample amounts of free time on their hands, (and lots of inspiration from The Great British Bake Off) they were finally able to explore their long time interests in baking.

kaitlyn Made it her mission to conquer the French macaron, spending endless hours in the kitchen to get the perfect shell texture, while kimi worked to get the perfect fillings. determined to have macarons bursting with flavor made from real, high quality ingredients, the gals troubleshot tirelessly for months to get the desserts that they proudly serve today. What began as simply offering friends and family practice treats quickly snowballed into an outpouring of love and support from their community, both locally in Anacortes, and across state lines.

in need of a logo and a name for their new venture, the girls looked to their pet bearded dragon frankie for something sweet, cute, and a little different.

kimi, who had some beginner artistic experience during her school years, decided to pick it up again on a whim and paint some macarons. a few years later, she was painting macarons for acclaimed director jared bush, and the metropolitan museum of art in new york.

while they are technically self-taught, they credit a lot of their knowledge and success to recipe books, baking shows, and family traditions. they are always learning and improving, and the trio are forever grateful for your endless love and support.
